fter you are experienced with
the procedures of automatic assembly
editing, you may choose to skip the note
taking step and directly enter the scenes
during playback.
When you are finished, you will have an Edit List from the
source tape. Here is an example of an Edit List from a
child’s birthday party:
Performing an Assembly Edit
Once your Edit List is complete, you’re ready to assemble
your tape. Let’s say you’ve decided to copy your scenes in the
following order, leaving out the scenes where the camera
jiggled and Josh was crying.
a. Josh opening toy car.
b. Josh opening tool kit.
c. Kids eating birthday cake.
d. Josh & Mary playing with toys.
1 Press
MENU
until the DUAL-DECK FEATURES menu
appears.
2 Press “3” to select 8-SCENE EDIT LIST. The following
menu will appear (The “1” will be flashing):
Begin/End Description
0:01:08 to 0:03:34 Josh opening birthday present - toy car.
0:03:34 to 0:04:00 Jiggled the camera - delete this part.
0:04:00 to 0:06:23 Josh opening present - tool kit.
0:06:23 to 0:10:30 Josh and Mary playing with toys.
0:10:30 to 0:11:06 Josh crying - delete this part.
0:11:06 to 0:15:46 Kids eating birthday cake.
3 Press “1” to program scene 1.
Note: You can program scenes out of sequence by
selecting any number key from 1 to 8.
You must insert a tape in
Deck 1 in order to select 8-
SCENE EDIT LIST.
