Using the TV’s menu
HV-32D25EJW / LCT1271-001A-U / ENGLISH
HEADPHONE
You need to use the HEADPHONE menu to
adjust the volume of the headphones.
The HEADPHONE menu can also be used to
set whether or not sound comes from the TV
speakers when the headphones are being
used and to perform the settings for the sound
coming from the headphones.
The surround function does not work for
the sound from the headphones. DOLBY
SURROUND sound becomes stereo
sound.

VOLUME:
You can change the volume of the
headphones.
TV SPEAKER:
You can turn the TV’s speakers on or off.
ON:
The sound comes from the TV’s
speakers when using the headphones.
OFF:
The sound does not come from the
TV’s speakers when using the
headphones.
OUTPUT:
You can choose the sound output to the
headphones.
MAIN:
You can listen to the sound of the
main-picture with your headphones.
SUB:
You can listen to the sound of the sub-
picture with your headphones.
When the sub-picture is a television
programme, the sound becomes
mono.

Hint:
When a sub-picture is displayed, the sound of
the sub-picture can be listened to with the
headphones while listening to the sound of
the main-picture with the TV speakers. To do
this, set TV SPEAKER to ON and OUTPUT
to SUB.
The surround function can be applied to the
sound from the TV speaker (external
speaker).

when the sub-picture is displayed.
When the headphones are connected
while the TV SPEAKER is ON and
OUTPUT is set to MAIN, the surround
function does not work for the sound from
the TV speaker (external speaker).
When DOLBY SURROUND sound is
used, the sound from the TV speaker
(external speaker) becomes stereo.
If the headphones are connected when the
sub-picture is not displayed.
Sound comes from the headphones
irrespective of the OUTPUT setting.
When the TV SPEAKER setting is ON,
the surround function does not work for
the sound from the TV speaker (external
speaker).
When DOLBY SURROUND sound is
used, the sound from the TV speaker
(external speaker) becomes stereo.
