10. Network Viewer and Image Viewer
This section provides instructions for installing and using the Network Viewer and Image Viewer, which are
included with the NVR. The programs can be operated by a selected PC equipped with the following
requirements.
1. Intel Pentium 233MHz (at least).
2. 32 MB RAM
3. Windows 95, 98, NT, ME and 2000.
4. 4 MB Video card capable of 24-bit true color display.
5. 5 MB free hard-disk space for software installation.
6. 10-base T network for LAN operation.
7. IEEE 802.11B Wireless LAN Card.
10.1 The Network Viewer
10.1.1 Introduction to Network Viewer
The Network Viewer allows you to potentially access a unit of the NVR from a remote desktop or a laptop in
a TCP/IP networking environment. It can perform the following functions.
View live images from the NVR
Store, search, and review recorded video from the NVR HDD.
Change the regular record, event record, and timer properties.
Before you are ready to view images from a desktop, you need to have your WIRELESS NVR networked by
obtaining a 10 base Ethernet data cable (Standard RJ-45) to connect the NVR to your PC or insert a
wireless card into the laptop’s wireless card slot. Change the laptop’s setting to enable the wireless function.
Now use the wireless function to connect directly with the wireless NVR. (Please refer to the following
pictures.) Enter the main menu to set the IP address.
