ITEM SETTING FUNCTION
TEST PATTERN The test pattern for focus adjustment is displayed when the ENTER button
is pressed.
SIGNAL SETTING
Use to adjust the image supplied from the computer.
TRACKING Use to eliminate vertical wide stripes, if appears, viewing the projected
image.
FINE SYNC. Use to eliminate flickering or blur, if appears, viewing the projected image.
H.POSITION * Use to adjust the horizontal position of the projected image.
V.POSITION * Use to adjust the vertical position of the projected image.
COMPONENT AUTO Select this option in normal use. Input signals are automatically
recognized.
RGB Select this option when connecting the projector to high definition video
equipment having R, G, and B output terminals.
YCbCr Select this option when connecting the projector to a DVD player or other
device having Y, CB, and CR component video output terminals.
YPbPr Select this option when connecting the projector to a MUSE recorder or
other device having Y, PB, and PR component video output terminals.
ASPECT STANDARD Select to change the aspect ratio automatically depending on the input
signal.
16:9 Select to project images with an aspect ratio of 16:9.
ZOOM1/2/3 Select to enlarge and project images of CinemaScope size, Vista size, or
European Vista size.
REAL Select to project images in their original size as input.
MIRROR FLOOR FRONT Select when viewing images from the front with the projector installed on
the floor.
CEILING FRONT Select when viewing images from the front with the projector installed on
the ceiling.
FLOOR REAR Select when viewing images projected from the behind of the screen with
the projector installed on the floor.
CEILING REAR Select when viewing images projected from the behind of the screen with
the projector installed on the ceiling.
KEYSTONE H.KEYSTONE Use to correct horizontal keystone distortion.
V.KEYSTONE Use to correct vertical keystone distortion.
LANGUAGE 9 languages Use to select the language used in the menus.
EXPAND Use to enlarge the projected image. (You cannot change the display position
after enlargement.)
SIGNAL SETTING Menu is not displayed when DVI-D is selected as the input source.
Though horizontal strips may appear on the enlarged projected image, such symptom is not a malfunction.
Options marked with * become unavailable depending on the type of the input signal.
•When you change the horizontal or vertical position to a large extent, noise may appear.
The adjustable range of the vertical position varies depending on the type of the input signal. Though the
image may stay in the same position even when the setting value is changed, such symptom is not a
malfunction.
