[RAM] [DVD-R]
You can give names to recorded titles, etc.
The maximum number of characters:
[RAM] Characters
≥Title 64
≥Title (timer recording) 44

[DVD-R] Characters

If a name is long, parts of it may not be shown on some screens.
Preparation
≥Insert a recorded disc.
≥Release protection.

Disc (l 30), title (l 34), cartridge (l 18) [RAM]
≥Press [DVD].
[1] After the Enter Name screen appears
Use [3, 4, 2, 1] to select the character you
want to enter and press [ENTER].
≥You can enter the following characters.
(1) This window shows the text you have entered. (Name field)
(2) ERASE [;, PAUSE]
(3) SET (when you have finished entering text) [∫, STOP]
(4) SPACE
(5) The title displayed on the menu screen after finalizing the
DVD-R appears. [DVD-R] (l 34)
To enter other characters
Repeat step 1.
[2] Press [∫, STOP].
The title is entered and the screen disappears.
≥You can also finish entering the title by selecting “SET” with [3,
4, 2, 1] and pressing [ENTER].
∫Regarding entering characters
≥To erase characters
Press [;, PAUSE]. (You can also erase characters by selecting
“ERASE” with [3, 4, 2, 1] and pressing [ENTER].)
≥To enter a space
You may enter a space by pressing [¢] and then press
[ENTER].
∫Using the numeric buttons to enter characters
e.g., entering the letter “R”
[1] Press [7] to move to the 7th row.
[2] Press [7] twice to highlight “R”.
[3] Press [ENTER].
∫To correct a character
[1] Use [3, 4, 2, 1] to select the character you want to correct in
the name field.
[2] Press [;, PAUSE]. (You can also erase characters by using [3,
4, 2, 1] to select “ERASE” and pressing [ENTER].)
[3] Use [3, 4, 2, 1] to select the correct character and press
[ENTER].
Note
≥If you enter a long name, it is partially shown in the title list (l 33)
and play list screen (l 37).
∫To cancel partway
Press [RETURN].
≥Text is not saved.
