! We recommend to keepa record of your code
number in case you forget it.
! The parental lock level is recordedon the disc.
You can confirm it by looking at thedisc pack-
age, included literature or onthe disc itself.
With discs that do notfeature a recorded par-
ental lock level, you cannot useparental lock.
! With some discs, parentallock operates to
skip certain scenes only, after which normal
playback resumes. For details, refer to the
discs instructions.
Changing the level
You can change the set parental lock level.
1 Touch SETUP and VISUAL and then
touch PARENTAL.
2 Touch 09 to input the registered code
number.
3 Touch ENTER.
This enters the code number, and you can now
change the level.
# If you input an incorrect code number, the
icon
is displayed. Touch C and input the cor-
rect code number.
# If you forget your code number, refer to If you
forget your code number on this page.
4 Touch any of 18 to select the desired
level.
The new parental lock level is set.
If you forget your code number
Refer to Changing the level on this page, and
touch C 10 times. The registered code number
is canceled, letting you register a new one.
Setting for digital output
Set digital output correctly to match the com-
ponents you are using with this unit. There is
no need to change settings if this unit is not
connected for digital output.
! When using this unit with a Pioneer multi-
channel processor (DEQ-P8000), select
DOLBY/LPCM.
! When using this unit with a head unit fea-
tures digital input (e.g., DEX-P9), select
LPCM.
Important
Incorrect setting may result innoise and damage
to speakers so be sure to readthe manuals of the
connected components.

panel keys to select the digital output set-
ting.
! DOLBY/LPCM The Dolby Digitalsignal is
output as it is (initial setting)
