! Linear PCM output of DTS audiois not possi-
ble. If you select LPCM, DTS audio is not out-
put.
! When using an amplifier and decoderthat are
not Dolby Digital compatible, select LPCM.
Setting digital and analog
audio output
You can set linear PCM audio output for both
digital and analog output. Set audio output
correctly to match the components you are
using with this unit.
! When using digital connections, select
48kHz.
! When using analog connections, select
96kHz.
Important
If the setting is incorrect there will beno sound
so be sure to read the manualsof the connected
components.
1 Touch SETUP and AUDIO and then
touch AUDIO OUT.
2 Touch either of the following touch
panel keys to select the audio output set-
ting.
! 48kHz A 48 kHz signalis output regard-
less of the audio sampling frequency. A 96
kHz signal is converted to a48 kHz signal.
(initial setting)
! 96kHz The signal is output withthe same
frequency as the audio samplingfrequency.
With a 96kHz signal, youcan enjoy excep-
tionally high sound quality.
Notes
! With discs featuring 96kHz recording, if you
select 96kHz, audio is not outputfrom digital
output.
! With discs that do notfeature a CSS (Content
Scrambling System) copy guardsignal, a 96
kHz digital signal is output.
! When using this unit with aPioneer multi-
channel processor (DEQ-P8000),select
48kHz. If you select 96kHz, no soundwill be
output when playing discs featuring96 kHz re-
cordings.
Automatic playback of DVDs
When a DVDs disc with DVD menu is inserted,
this unit will cancel the DVD menu automati-
cally and start playback from the first chapter
of the first title.
! Some DVDs may not operate properly. If
this function is not fully operated, turn this
function off and start playback.
1 Touch SETUP and NEXT and then touch
OTHERS.
2 Touch DVD A. PLAY.
3 Touch a to turn automatic playback on.
# To turn automaticplayback off, touch b.
# When the automatic playback ison, you can-
not operate repeating play ofDVD disc (refer to
Repeating play on page 29).
