Editing/dubbing of copy-once content
Some programmes may contain copy control signals
to restrict recording only once for the purpose of
protecting the copyright owners. (Copy-once content)
To record these programmes on this recorder, comply
with the following restrictions.
Copy-once content, recorded on the HDD
cannot be copied to DVD-R/RW (Video mode).
DVD-R/RW (Video mode) format cannot record copy-
once content. To save these contents, load a CPRM
compatible DVD-RAM or DVD-R/RW (VR mode) and
move them to it.
Copy-once content, recorded on a DVD disc
cannot be moved to the HDD.
Once recorded, copy-once content cannot be copied
again. The only option left is moving from the HDD to
a DVD-RAM or DVD-R/RW. Moving from a DVD disc
to the HDD is not permitted.
Copy-once content, recorded on a DVD disc
cannot be played on a PC.
Once recorded, copy-once content cannot be copied
again. DVD standard saves the data by the copy
protection system, called CPRM. A PC is required to
be equipped with CPRM compatible playback software
program and CPRM compatible disc drive to play a
DVD disc which contains copy-once content.
Copy-once content takes more time to display
thumbnails on CONTENT MENU or EDIT MENU.
Once recorded, copy-once content cannot be copied
again. The recorder does not store thumbnails of
copy-once content, different from normal content.
Therefore, each time a menu is opened the recorder
searches thumbnails among recorded titles. This is the
reason why it takes more time to display thumbnails of
copy-once content.
