Chapter 5: Quick Connect Guide & TV Guide On Screen setup
2. Enter the ZIP code (U.S.A.) or postal code (Canada) for
your location (use the Number buttons on the remote
control for numbers and the yz buttons for letters), and
then press ENTER.
Configuring your Cable setup
1. Do you have Cable service? Select YES or NO, and then
press ENTER.
2. Do you have a Cable box connected? Select YES or NO,
and then press ENTER. (If you select NO, skip to
“Configuring your VCR setup” on the next page.)
3. Select the channel your TV is tuned to when using your
cable box, and then press ENTER.
Note: This is a continuation of the Quick Connect Guide
assisted setup from the previous page.
If you are not using the Quick Connect Guide assisted
setup and want to manually start the TV Guide
On Screen system setup process:
a) Press MENU and open the SETUP menu.
b) Highlight INSTALLATION and press ENTER. (A new set of
INSTALLATION menu icons will appear on-screen.)
c) Open the TV GUIDE ON SCREEN SETUP menu, highlight
START, and press ENTER.
d) Follow the steps below.
1. The following screen opens. Press ENTER to continue.
2. The following screen opens. Press ENTER to continue.
3. The following screen opens. Press ENTER to continue.
