System Setup
The G-CODE timer programming system eliminates the need to input channel, date, start and stop time data when setting the timer
record function. Simply key in the G-
CODE number for the TV programme you wish to record (found in most TV listings) and the unit’s
timer is automatically programmed.
You have to set Guide Program numbers, which are assigned to each station for purposes of S
HOWVIEW timer programming, for all the
stations stored in your unit’s memory to get proper results.
Before G-
CODE setup you must have performed Auto Set Up (੬ pg. 19).
IMPORTANT
After setting the Guide Program Numbers, channel positions may be incorrect if you stored or skipped channels. In this case, re-
perform Guide Program Number setting.
Guide Program Number Set
A
Access the Main Menu screen.
Press SET UP.

Access the “GUIDE PR” screen.

Enter the Guide Program number.
A Press rt to select “GUIDE PROGRAMME”, then
press ENTER.
B Press rt to select the Guide Program number for the
desired station as shown in the TV listings. Then press
ENTER.
● To change the Guide Program number in 10 increments, press
and hold rt.
D
Enter the receiving channel position number.
A Press rt to select “TV PROGRAMME”, then press
ENTER.
B Press rt to select the number of the unit’s channel
position on which the Guide Program number’s
broadcast is received by the unit or the satellite
receiver. Then press ENTER.
● If the satellite broadcast is received on your unit’s auxiliary
channel “L-2”, select “L-2” for the channel position.
● Repeat steps C and D as necessary.
E
Complete the setting.
Press SET UP.
INFORMATION
G-CODE and SHOWVIEW are different trademarks used to represent the same easy recording feature, but only the term G-CODE
system will be used in the instructions. If you use the S
HOWVIEW system, follow the same instructions listed for the G-CODE system.
● Turn on the unit.
● Turn on the TV and select the AV mode.
● Slide the TV/DVD switch to DVD.
A Press we to select
“INITIAL SET UP”, then
press ENTER.
B Press we to select
“GUIDE PR”, then press
ENTER.
Guide Program Number
“Guide Program (GUIDE PROGRAMME) number” refers to
the assigned TV station numbers, according to broadcast
area, for the G-
CODE timer recording. The Guide Program
numbers can be found in most TV listings.
