HDD/DVD SET UP > DVD SET UP
K SAVE AS LIBRARY
For setting whether to register a recorded or timer recorded programme title to the Library Database Navigation (DVD
Navigation).
OFF Do not register.
ON Register.
L CONTINUOUS PLAY
For setting whether to play back multiple programme titles on a disc continuously.
(For finalised DVD-RW/-R (Video mode), continuous playback will be activated.)
OFF Returns to the broadcast screen after playing back a programme.
ON Plays back programme titles on a disc in sequence.
M VIDEO MODE RECORDING ASPECT
For discs in Video mode, the aspect ratio of the screen is fixed for a programme. For setting the screen mode to be given
priority, when the selected programmes to be dubbed from the HDD consist mix aspect ratio.
PRIORITIZE 4:3 Records in 4:3.
PRIORITIZE 16:9 Records in 16:9.
N VIDEO MODE RECORDING AUDIO
For selecting the audio to be recorded, when recording or dubbing bilingual programmes to Video mode discs.
MAIN Records the main audio.
SUB Records the sub audio.
O MP3/JPEG
For setting which type of file to play back when a disc contains both MP3 and JPEG files.
MP3 Plays back MP3 files.
JPEG Plays back JPEG files.
HDD/DVD SET UP > DISC SET UP
P FINALISE
To finalise DVD-R and DVD-RW discs. This is not a setting item. [ P65]
Q CANC. FINALIS.
Cancels finalisation of DVD-RW discs. This is not a setting item. [ P65]
R FORMAT
To format DVD-RAM, DVD-RW (VR mode, Video mode) and DVD-R (VR mode) discs. This is not a setting item. [ P64]

S DV AUTO CHAPTERING
For setting whether or not to create chapters (marks), when dubbing via the DV input terminal connecting the external DV
camcorder. (Press the START/STOP button on the DV camcorder to detect the screen being recorded. [ P70])
However, marks cannot be created for direct recording to the DVD in Video mode. Record to the HDD, then dub to the DVD.
OFF Do not create chapters (marks).
ON Create chapters (marks).
T DV 12-BIT AUDIO
For setting the audio for dubbing from DV camcorder, etc.
SOUND1 Stereo recording of normal sound.
SOUND2 Stereo recording of post-recorded sound.
MIX Mixes and records both the normal and post-recorded sound.
