Channel Setup Options
Auto Tuning (Channel Search)
Auto Tuning (Channel Search)
Auto Tuning automatically finds and stores all digital and analog
channels available through antenna or cable inputs.
1. Press MENU on the Installer Remote, and use the arrow
navigation keys to select/highlight the CHANNEL menu
option. Then, press ENTER.
2. Use the Up/Down arrows to select Auto Tuning, and then
press ENTER.
3. In the Auto Tuning pop-up window, use the Up/Down arrows
to select Yes, and then press ENTER to initiate the channel
search.
4. The STB1000 will search for digital channels rst. After the
digital channel search is completed, the STB will search for
analog channels as well.
Select Next(Analog), if desired, to bypass the digital channel
search and initiate the search for analog channels.
A progress bar shows the percentage complete of the
channel search, and DIGITAL and ANALOG elds track the
number of channels found.
5. When Auto Tuning is complete, select Close and press
ENTER to close the pop-up window and return to the Chan-
nel Menu.
6. Press MENU to return to TV viewing, or press RETURN to
return to the previous menu level.
Notes:
A password is required to gain access to Auto Tuning if
the Lock System is turned ON.
The Tuning Band must be set in the Installer Menu
before the channel search is initiated. The default
Tuning Band is CATV (Installer Menu item 003 BAND/
AFC is set to 1). Update the setting, as necessary (see
the “Installer Menu” section of this document for further
information).
If this is the rst time the STB/display has been turned
ON, a “Press Enter ( ) to set your channel settings”
message will be displayed at the bottom of the screen.
Press ENTER to initiate Auto Tuning, if desired, from
this message.
Running Auto Tuning automatically removes any
assigned/existing channel labels.
Cable will not work unless you subscribe to a cable
service.
