Step6: Preparingthe
Remote
You can control the player using the supplied
remote. Insert two Size AA (R6) batteries by
matching the (_ and G ends on the batteries
to the markings inside the battery
colnpartment. When using the renlote, point
it at the remote sensor [] on the player
(page 10).

• Use the balteries correctly to avoid possible
leakage and corrosion. Should leakage occur, do
not louch the liquid with bare hands. Observe the
lbllowing:
- Do not use a new batlery with an old battery, or
batteries of different manufacturers.
- Do not atlempt to recharge the balteries.
- If you do not intend to use the remote for an
exlended period of lime. remove the batteries.
- If battery leakage occurs, wipe out any liquid
inside the battery compartmenL and insert new
balteries.
• Do not expose the remote sensor (marked [] on
lhe fi'onl panel) to strong light, such as direct
sunlighl or a lighting apparatus. The player may
not respond to the remote.
You call control the volume, input source,
channel, and power switch of your Sony TV
with the supplied remote.

When you replace lhe batleries of the remote, the
code number may be resel to the delimit selling. Set
the appropriate code number again.
