_What istheAVCHDformat?
The AVCHD t'ommt is a high-definition digital
vide() camera lk_rmai used to record SD (standard
definition) or HD (high definition) signals of either
the 1080i specification*l or the 720p
specification .2 on DVDs, using efficient data
compression coding technology. The MPEG-4
AVC/H.264 format is adopted Io compress video
data, and the Dolby Digital or Linear PCM system
is used to compress audio data. The MPEG-4 AVC/
H.264 limnat is capable of compressing images at
higher elficiency than thai of the conveutional
image compressing format. The MPEG-4 AVC/
H.264 formal enables a high definition (HD) video
signal shot ou a digital video camera recorder to be
recorded on DVD discs, in the same way as it woukt
be for a standard definition (SD) television signal.

depending on the recording condition.
