Chapter 3: Using the remote control
The remote’s buttons
The buttons described in this section operate the TV only.

Note: The error message “NOT AVAILABLE” may appear if you press a key for a function that is not available.
Illuminates the keypad for five seconds.
Sets the remote control device
modes: TV, CABLE/SAT, BD, DVD,
VCR/PVR and AUX. To control the TV,
press TV until the keypad blinks 3
times.
The selected MODE key blinks each
time any key is pressed. When the
Auto Input feature is set, you can use
these keys to change inputs on the TV
(- p. 31).
Accesses the sleep timer (- p. 47)
Directly tune channels. The = button
is used to enter 2- part channel
numbers (- p. 36).
Selects the video input source
(- p. 38).
Displays/hides the Yahoo! TV Widgets
user interface (- p. 70).
When a menu is onscreen, these
buttons select or adjust programming
menus.
Cycles through programmed channels
when no menu is onscreen.
Closes onscreen menus.
Displays TV status information as well
as program details, when available (-
p. 48).
Selects the audio mode.
Opens the closed caption selector
(- p. 38–39).
Displays NET TV™ menu (- p. 66).
Activates highlighted items in the
main menu system.
Adjusts the volume level.
Switches 3D or 2D mode
(- p. 33).
Accesses Quick menu.
Selects the picture size (- p. 50)

Makes the picture a still picture
(- p. 52).
Turns the TV on and off.
Accesses the main TV menu system
(- p. 27–28).
Reduces or turns off the sound
(- p. 58).
Returns to the last viewed channel or
source (- p. 37).
Returns to previous menu.
