Enabling or disabling audio or video muting, image
freeze, closed captioning, and the Program Guide
To enable or disable muting, image freezing, closed captioning, or
the Program Guide, click the Off or On button under the name of the
function that you want to turn on or off.
Closed Captioning Page
On this page, you can select a closed captioning service and specify the appearance of the
closed caption screens on the display. Access the Closed Captioning page by clicking the
Closed Captioning link on the sidebar menu of the Control page.

To select and format the closed captions, make your selections in the following fields:
• CC Formatting — Select the Default radio button to format the closed caption using
the service default settings. When this button is selected, the drop-down menus in the
Format the Appearance section are grayed out and unavailable.
To format the text and background of the closed caption, select Custom. The menus in
the Format the Appearance section become available.
• CC Service — Select the radio button for the desired closed captioning service number
(1 through 6). To disable closed captioning, select Off.
