When this function is set to 30MIN, 1HR or 3HR, hard disk drive illumination lights blue and
you can apply the selected time length to the Live Memory Features (
pg. 28).

AUDIO REC
NICAM
MONO
When this function is set to NICAM, the NICAM audio programmes will be recorded.
When this function is set to MONO, the Standard (monaural) audio programmes will be
recorded.
NOTE:
This function works only on NICAM bilingual programme.

You can locate a scene ahead or behind of the currently viewed one by jumping a selected time
interval during playback (or Live Memory Playback) or recording (or Live Memory Recording).

DV AUDIO REC

Select the appropriate mode before recording to the HDD deck.

: Enables Audio Dubbing later.
16BIT
: Audio Dubbing later is impossible but recorded sound quality is higher than
12BIT.
NOTES:
When input mode is set to “D-1”, you cannot change “DV AUDIO REC” setting.

Select the appropriate mode when playing back an audio-dubbed programme on the HDD deck.
SOUND1
: Original recorded sound
SOUND2
: Audio-dubbed sound
MIX
: Original recorded sound and Audio-dubbed sound
NOTES:
When “AUDIO MODE” is set to “MIX”, both the main and sub audio tracks will be audible on
bilingual tapes.
To select only the main audio or only the sub audio track on bilingual tapes, set “AUDIO MODE” to
“SOUND1”.

When a programme is recorded on the cassette with this function set to ON, you can use VCR
Navigation (
