TIMER RECORDING
You can program this unit to timer record as many as 8 programs
up to 30 days in advance. If you do not know the PlusCode number
for the program you wish to record, use the following procedure to
set your unit to timer record the program.
1 Load a recordable disc.
● For details, refer to “Placing A Disc” (A pg. 10).
2 Press PROG to display
the APROGRAM
CHECKB screen.
● When APROGRAM FULL
DELETE UNWANTED
TIMER PROGRAMB
appears on the TV
screen, you need to
cancel some of the
reserved programs.
3 Press selection keys
repeatedly to select
ANEW TIMER
PROGRAMB, then press
ENTER.
4 Press selection keys to
set the desired date
(ADATEB), then press E.
5 Press selection keys to
set the desired start time
(ASTARTB), then press E.
● Each press of FG increases/decreases the start time in
1 minute interval.
● To increase/decrease the start time in 30 minutes interval,
press and hold FG.
6 Press selection keys to set the desired stop time (ASTOPB),
then press E.
● Each press of FG increases/decreases the stop time in
1 minute interval.
● To increase/decrease the stop time in 30 minutes interval,
press and hold FG.
7 Press selection keys to set the desired channel (ACHB), then
press E.
8 Set the other recording options as required.
● Refer to step 6 in “VCR Plus+ Timer Programming” (A pg. 37).
9 Press ENTER to access the Program Confirmation screen.
10 Press ENTER to complete the timer programming.
● To program another timer, repeat steps 2 - 10.
11 Press TIMERj to engage the unit’s timer mode.
● The unit turns off automatically and j appears on the front
display panel.
● To disengage the timer mode, press TIMERj again.
NOTES:
● When two successive programs are recorded with the “Manual
Timer Programming” function, the ending of the first program or
the beginning of the second program may not be recorded.
● If the copy limited program is received during timer recording, the
unit enters Record Pause mode. Recording starts again if it is
switched to a recordable broadcast during the time you
programmed.
Manual Timer Programming
● Turn on the unit.
● Turn on the TV and select an input mode such as EXT1.
● Make sure that the unit’s built-in clock is set properly.

Cable Box or DBS Receiver Users
To record a satellite broadcast using Manual Timer
Programming:
A Perform Manual Timer Programming.
● Set the channel to the external input (AL-1B or AF-1B)
connected to the cable box or DBS receiver.
B Set the cable box or DBS receiver to the appropriate channel
for recording.
● Leave the cable box or DBS receiver’s power on.
