When connecting the digital video recorder to a network,
check the IP address with the network administrator.
z
Up to 250 digital video recorders can be connected with
manually-set IP addresses. To connect more digital video
recorders, you must use automatic IP address settings.
The set IP address is displayed in the <NETWORK SET>
screen.
Connect the digital video recorder’s RS-485 (A, B) control
terminals in series to the system controller, hard disk digital
recorder or similar device.
1 Press the [MENU] button.
The [MENU] button lights, and the <MAIN MENU> screen
appears.
2 Select “6. RS-485/NETWORK SET”, and
press the [ ] button.
The <NETWORK SET> screen appears.
[Settings] ( indicates default setting.)
* Values above 127 can be set as the IP address on the
dip switches (a setting of 0 or above 250 is read as 250),
but only the least significant 7 bits (a value between 0
and 127) are read as the RS-485 address.
3 Press the [ ] and [ ] buttons to select
the desired item, then press the [ ]
button.
4 Press the [ ] and [ ] buttons to
change the setting, then press the
[ ] button.
5 Use the same procedure to set the other
items as needed.
6 When you have finished making the
settings, press the [EXIT/OSD] button.
The display returns to the normal screen.

DVR NAME Display
only
When remote operations software (sold
separately) is in use, displays the name of
the digital video recorder set in the PC.

IP ADDRESS Display
only
Displays the set address number.

REMOTE AS VCR When the digital video recorder is operated
from a controller, sets it to operate as a
VCR.
DVR When the digital video recorder is operated
from a controller, sets it to operate as a
digital video recorder.

DATA SPEED Used to select the communication
speed.Selections: 19200/2400/4800/9600

STATUS INFO ON Enables status information to be sent on the
RS-485 line.

ALARM INFO ON Enables alarm information to be sent on the
RS-485 line.

ADDRESS* Display
only
Displays a number between 0 and 127,
based on the IP address set by the dip
switches. When connecting multiple
recorders, each must have a unique
address.
