Changing the unit’s settings
Refer to the control reference on page 42.
For connection with an HDMI cable to an amplifier, use the following settings on this unit if you cannot set the speaker size, presence and delay
effect on the amplifier.
1 While stopped
Press [SETUP].
2 Press [e,r] to select “TV Screen” and
press [q].
3 Press [e,r] to select “Functions of
HDMI” and press [ENTER].
4 Press [e,r] to select “HDMI
Connection Speakers Setting” and
press [ENTER].
5 Press [e,r] to select “Multi Channel”
and press [ENTER].
6 Change the speaker setting.
n Speaker presence and size (A, Ô left)
1 Press [e,r,w,q] to select the speaker icon (A) and press
[ENTER].
2 Press [e,r] to select the setting and press [ENTER].
Icon examples:
Surround speaker (LS)
• Large: Select when the speaker supports low-frequency
(under 100 Hz) reproduction.
• Small: Select when the speaker does not support low-
frequency reproduction.
If the subwoofer is set to “No”, the front speakers will
automatically be set to “Large”. (In this case, we recommend
connecting a speaker that can reproduce bass below 100 Hz.)
n Delay time (B, Ô left)
(Effective when playing multi-channel audio)
If either distance C or E is less than D, find the difference in
the relevant table and change to the recommended setting.
3 Press [e,r,w,q] to select the item B and press [ENTER].
4 Press [e,r] to select a setting and press [ENTER].
7 Press [e,r,w,q] to select “Complete”
and press [ENTER].
To return to the previous screen
Press [RETURN].
To exit the screen
Press [SETUP].
