RECORDING PROBLEMS
Recording does not Is the lock all indicator lit? Refer to the separate
work by pressing REC. Caution sheet. See your supervisor if the sheet is not
attached to this manual.
Is the cassette’s erasure prevention tab broken off?
Load a cassette with an erasure prevention tab.
Has the tape run out? Rewind or load a new cassette.
Cannot stop recording Is the repeat indicator lit? Set TAPE END in the First
by pressing STOP. Time Set Up menu to REPEAT or ALARM•PROT.
If TAPE END is set to ALARM•PROT, repeat recording
will not work if there is an alarm recording on the tape.
When a tape reaches its end during alarm recording,
the VCR rewinds the tape and stops (recording does
not start again) even though TAPE END is set to
REPEAT.
Timer recording does Are the day and time set correctly? Set them again if

Are the recording start and end times and the
recording mode set correctly? Confirm the settings in
the Program To Record menu.
Is the timer recording indicator lit? If not, press the
TIMER REC button on the front panel.
Alarm recording does Is the external switch connected correctly? Check
