 Finalise set up of the external receiver
1 Tune your external receiver to the TV channel which transmits the
GUIDE Plus+
®
data.
O If this TV channel is available on the internal tuner of the
DVD-recorder, select the TV channel on the DVD-recorder
using CHANNEL q
P , CHANNEL r S .
2 If you did not find your country in this list, no TV channel will
provide the GUIDE Plus+
®
system information.
Refer to the internet page http://www.europe.guideplus.com to
find further information and tips.

3 If the TV channel is only available on the external receiver, select
the programme number of the socket to which the external
receiver is connected.
O If the external receiver is only connected to the aerial socket,
you must select the programme number on the DVD
recorder under which the external receiver is stored.
4 If you can switch between 'TV' and 'Radio' on the external
receiver, select 'TV'.
5 Leave the DVD-recorder and the satellite receiver switched on for
about 24 hours to load the GUIDE Plus+
®
data.
6 If GUIDE Plus+
®
data were loaded, switch the DVD-Recorder off
with the STANDBY m
2 button for approx.10 minutes. During
this time, the data will be stored in a memory to prevent them
from being erased in case of malfunction (power failure).
7 Press GUIDE/TV
J and select the menubar using A I .
8 Select the 'Editor' screen using C
M and confirm using B O .

9 Check the TV channels and the allocation to the programme
numbers. Switch between the two tiles using C
M , D K .
Select the TV channels using B
O , A I , CHANNEL r S ,
CHANNEL q
P (for page forward/backward)
O left tile
Switch the TV channels you want to use to 'On' using the red
function button
D .
Don't switch off the GUIDE Plus+
®
data channel!
O right tile
For TV channels on the external receiver, press the red
function button
D to switch to 'External receiver 1'
The press the green function button
E and enter the
programm number for this channel using the 0..9
X buttons
(this is the same programme number as you would enter on
the external receiver for this TV channel).
Check that the GUIDE Plus+
®
data channel is allocated
to the right programme number!
