6 NTP Software Installation and Configuration
1. Replace the string ttyb in the ln command with the
appropriate serial port designator for your system.
2. Replace the number 1 in the string /dev/Acutime1 with
the unit number in your NTP configuration file.
Serial port designators on UNIX systems are usually designated by
/dev/cuau or /dev/ttyu, where u may be composed of one or
more alphanumeric characters.
The following table may assist you in locating the appropriate serial
port and symbolic link names for your system. Verify presence of the
actual device files and validity of all links in the /
DEV directory before
using a serial device.
