2.2 Installing the AVerMedia LX5000 Video Cards
The following instructions are for installing video cards into the
AVerMedia LX5000.
Before installing the video card, turn off the computer’s power,
unplug the power cable and disconnect all other cables
attached to the back of the computer.
Remove the computer cover.
Remove the I/O brackets for the four PCI expansion slots. Save the
screws.
Insert the AVerMedia video cards into the available PCI expansion slots.
Replace the computer cover and reconnect all cables.
NOTE: Orient the red mark
upward.

Up to four cameras can be connected to each LX5000 video card - one
camera per BNC terminal.
2.3 Attaching Cameras
Cameras must be attached to the
BNC connectors of the server
video cards in a specific order to
avoid transmission problems.
Depending on whether you have
the LX5000 will determine how to
install your cameras. Video cards are stacked vertically into the chassis.
If all four video cards are installed, the rear panel of the server will
appear as shown in the diagrams below.
