MediaVault 4440 User Manual Operations
Mode (RAID Type) Functions
The MV 4440 allows you to choose the RAID type at which the unit will
operate. In general, if you do not backup your data on a daily basis
Ciprico Inc. recommends using the RAID 6 function.

as parity drives for redundancy. This mode
uses a 4096 sector size.
