NOTE: The Activity LED on the back of the vPOD goes off, which
indicates that it is safe to remove the vPOD.
3. Install a replacement vPOD in the MV 4440. Insert the required cables.
Tighten the thumbscrews.
4. Set the MODE SELECT switch of the replacement vPOD to the previously
used setting, in order to perform operations such as reconstruction.
However, if the vPOD will be hot-swapped frequently and there is no
need to change the RAID mode, the M
ODE SELECT switch can be set to
“14”.
