PTZ MODE
PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) mode lets you control camera movement from the DX3100. Before you can control a camera, make sure the camera is
configured for PTZ operation (refer to
Receiver Wiring, Recorder Setup
and
Camera Setup).
To operate a PTZ camera, press the PTZ button. The PTZ instructions appear briefly on the monitor (refer to Figure 29). If PTZ is not
enabled on the DX3100, the unit displays the following message:
“NO CAMERA WITH P/T/Z ENABLED”
Figure 29. PTZ Instructions
Press the button for the camera to control. Then press the direction arrow buttons to move the camera. If the camera is not PTZ-capable,
the unit displays the following message:
“P/T/Z OF CHyy IS DISABLED”
To exit PTZ mode, press the PTZ button.
ARROW BUTTONS: FRONT PANEL VS. REMOTE
Pressing the arrow buttons on the front panel operates slightly different than pressing the arrow buttons on the IR remote controller.
When you press an arrow button on the front panel, the camera moves in that direction until you release the button; then camera motion
stops. When you press an arrow button on the IR remote controller, the camera continues to move in that direction. You must press the
same arrow button again to stop camera movement in that direction. You can also press a different arrow button to immediately start
moving the camera in a different direction; you do not have to stop it first.
