LINKING MENU
The Linking menu allows you to set up alarm inputs, motion inputs, and the relay output.
NOTE: The prealarm and postalarm recording settings are configured in the normal recording option on the Camera menu. Refer to Normal
Record Mode on page 30 for more information.
ALARM INPUT SETUP
The unit allows you to configure the following alarm input settings:
Input Channel: Selects the alarm input (01 to 04) for configuration.
Input Type: Alarms are programmed for normally open (N.O.) or normally closed (N.C) inputs.
Camera: Selects the camera (01 to 04, NONE) to be linked to the alarm input. Multiple cameras can linked to one alarm input.
Relay off: Sets the relay output to either off or on.
Note the following information for alarm input operation:
Use the Input Channel setting to assign one alarm input to one specific camera channel.
Use the Camera setting to assign multiple cameras to one alarm input or to link one camera to a specific alarm input.
All alarm inputs are linked to one relay output.
To set up the alarm input channels:
1. From the Setup menu, click Linking.
2. Click Alarm.
3. Click the Input Channel box, and select the channel to configure.
4. Click the boxes to enter their settings.
5. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to configure the other channels.
6. Click Close.
7. Click OK.
MOTION DETECTION SETUP
The unit allows you to configure the following motion channel settings:
Channel: Selects the motion channel (01 to 04) for configuration.
Sensitivity: Sets the motion sensitivity: OFF, 01 to 10. Select a lower value to decrease unit sensitivity to motion; increase the value to
make the unit more sensitive to motion.
NOTE: If sensitivity is set too low, the unit may not record a motion event. If sensitivity is set too high, the unit may record false motion
events.
Relay Output: Sets the relay output to either off or on. Refer to Motion Area Selection on page 14 for information about configuring a
motion area.
To set up the motion channel:
1. From the Linking menu, click Motion.
2. Click the Motion Channel box, and select the channel to configure.
3. Click the boxes to enter their settings.
4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 to configure the other channels.
5. Click Close.
6. Click OK.
