Note
When connecting the Network Media Receiver and computer as shown above, the following settings must
be made.
Assign a fixed IP address to the computer (page 33).
Select the IP address allocation method of the Network Media Receiver (page 37).
Assigning a fixed IP address to the computer
When the Network Media Receiver is connected via network cable in one of the system
environments listed below, a fixed IP address must be assigned to the computer as follows.

G (page 20) without router with built-in hub
Note
Do not make this setting if the system environment includes a router (or a router with built-in hub).
1 On the computer, access the “Start” menu and click “My Computer” to
bring up the “My Computer” screen.
2 Click “More” and “My Network Places”.
The “My Network Places” screen appears.
3 Click “Show Network Connections”.
The “Network Connections” screen appears.
4 Right-click “Local Area Connection” and click “Properties”.
The “Local Area Connection Properties” screen appears.
