1 – Introduction
Thank you very much for purchasing a TASCAM DR-V1HD HD Video/Linear
PCM Recorder.
Please read this Owner’s Manual carefully in order to maximize your use of all
the unit’s features. We hope that you will enjoy using this recorder for many

When the 2GB maximum file size is reached, audio and video recording can •
automatically continue in a new file without interruption
File incrementing and auto-recording functions can be used together to •

Pre-recording function allows capture of up to 2 seconds of audio or video •
before recording is activated manually
Automatic gain control function automatically adjusts input levels to make •
recording levels as uniform as possible
Limiter function automatically reduces the input level suitably when it is •

VSA function changes playback speed from 50% to 150% (in 10% •
increments) of normal speed without changing pitch
