Recording on disc and simultaneous playback
from the HDD archive
1 Switch on the television and select the preset channel for the
HDD DVD recorder.
2 Press »
Ǽ« to switch on the HDD DVD recorder from standby
mode.
– When you switch on the HDD DVD recorder, the current pro-
gramme that you can see on the television screen is recorded
in the time shift memory.
Note:
Please select the recording quality before starting the recording.
See the section on custom settings and selecting the recording
quality on page 110.
3 Switch to disc mode with » « (blue).
– A message appears. Press »OK« to acknowledge.
4 Open the disc compartment, insert the disc with the label facing
upwards and close it.
– Display: The recording time and the amount of recording time
still available.
5 Select the television channel by displaying the channel list with
»OK« select the desired television channel with »

« or »
S
«
and confirm with »OK«.
– Display: for example, »P1 ARD«, the current TV station is
shown.
Note:
If you want to select another input source (for example, a DVD
player on the »SCART« socket), display the AV channel list with
»0«, select the desired input source with »

« and
confirm with »OK«.
6 If you would like to change the recording quality, press
»Q-SET« until the one you want appears in the display.
7 Press »
●« to start recording on the disc.
– The amount of recording time available is shown.
8 Open the HDD archive by pressing » « (yellow).
9 Select the track by pressing »

– The thumbnail index of the recording is displayed in the
contents table.
10 Press »
8« to start HDD archive playback.

When the YesDVD function is activated, press »
