Connecting external data devices
To connect a digital camera or an external storage medium, switch
the HDD DVD recorder into standby with »Ǽ« and switch it on only
after connecting. Even if you disconnect the USB, the HDD DVD
recorder must first be switched to standby, otherwise files can be
damaged.
1 Connect the USB interface » IN« on the HDD DVD recorder
to the corresponding socket on the data device (digital camera,
card-reading device or MP3 player) using a USB cable
or
Insert the USB plug of the USB memory stick into the USB inter-
face » IN« on the HDD DVD recorder.
Note:
You can connect several devices to the USB interface » IN«
on the HDD DVD recorder at the same time, using a USB hub.
Preparation
Switch on the television.
Select the »AV« channel on the television for the HDD DVD
recorder.
Insert a DVD+R, DVD+RW, DVD-R or DVD-RW into the disc com-
partment.
Note:
A bi-directional data transfer as defined for ITE (Information
Technology Equipment) devices in EN 55022/EN 55024 is not
possible.
USB transfer is not in itself an operating mode. It is only an
additional function.
