Can I stream a DVD movie from
my PC to the MediaSmart
HDTV?
No, because the MediaSmart HDTV can only access
digital media exported by the media server (Windows
Media Player). Due to copyright and legal issues,
WMP does not export the VOB files used in DVDs.
However, if you have the DVD disc, you can play it
through a DVD player you connect directly to the
MediaSmart HDTV. For more information, see
“Connecting a DVD player, VCR, DVR, game console,
or camcorder” on page 14.
How do I create an account for
my online service?
Use your PC to access the Internet, and create all your
online accounts before you log in for the first time by
using your MediaSmart HDTV. Go to:

Can I share media from a
storage device attached to the
network?
Yes. The HP MediaSmart Sharing Wizard enables
remote content sharing with a network attached
storage device. For more information, see “Sharing
with a network drive” on page 97.
