Dubbing
9 Two-way dubbing between HDD, DVD and VHS tape is possible with this single unit. Or simply
use the ONE-TOUCH EXPERT DUB button on this unit to dub an entire VHS tape exactly to a
DVD disc. Dubbing can be done from an external DV camcorder to the HDD or DVD. Refer to
the following content for reference during dubbing.
*1 Recording Information: Thumbnails, recording date and time, and channels.
0 The play list will be dubbed as one programme.
0 Play lists with copy-once images cannot be dubbed.
*2 Play list: Data where only required parts from recorded programmes can be viewed.
0 The play list will be dubbed as one programme.
0 Play lists with copy-once images cannot be dubbed.
*3 When dubbing play list from the HDD to the DVD-RW/-R (Video mode) discs, dubbing will be performed in the
normal speed even if high speed dubbing is selected.
*4 Bit-Rate Optimiser
Optimises the overall bit rate for recording. Scenes with rapid movement are recorded with high bit rates, while
scenes with slow movement are recorded with low bit rates, thereby resulting in better picture quality.
*5 Auto Blank-Cut Dubbing
When dubbing from VHS, if there are blanks of more than 2 seconds on the VHS tape, the HDD/DVD will enter
into pause mode. Dubbing will resume once recorded part is detected. This prevents useless recordings.
*6 Auto Title Creation Dubbing
When dubbing from the VHS tape, if there are multiple index signals (VISS signals) within a tape, a title
(programme) per VISS signal will be automatically created on the HDD/DVD. During that time, dubbing will stop
temporarily.
