0 While the tape’s quality level is being assessed, the
PAUSE button does not function.
Assessment of the tape will be carried out in the
following instances.
0 When recording for the first time after loading the
tape.
0 When the recording mode is changed.
Load a tape for recording, then perform the
usual steps for recording.
When recording starts, the indicator as illustrated below
appears on the TV screen. When this screen is
displayed, the quality level for the best recording
condition on the tape is assessed.
0 If this screen is not displayed, set the following. Setup
Menu ASUPERIMPOSEB = AAUTOB [ P113] a
To set before recording begins
A Press PAUSE and REC simultaneously.
0 This unit will pause recording and assess the tape’s
quality level.
B When the programme that you wish to record
starts, press PLAY.
0 Recording begins.
