Setting Access Control
About Access Control
Access Control limits viewing of discs
that exceed the limits you set. We cannot
guarantee the availability of Access Control
with all discs, and therefore denies any
liability associated with unintended
watching of discs.
Setting or changing the pin
code
The same pin code (password) is used for
both Parental Control and Child Lock.
Enter your four-digit password to play a
prohibited disc or if prompted for a pin
code.
1 Press SYSTEM-MENU on the remote
control.
➜ The system menu appears on the TV.
2 Press 4 to select { Preferences }.
3 Press 2 repeatedly to select { Access }
and press 4 to confirm.
4 Use the alphanumeric keypad 0-9 to
enter your four-digit pin code.
➜ When doing this for the first time,
enter any four-digit you prefer. You must
enter the same pin code a second time to
confirm it.
➜ If you forgot your four-digit pin code,
use the alphanumeric keypad 0-9 on
the remote control to key in ‘
1504’ and
followed by OK button. Then, enter any
four-digit you prefer.
5 Press 4 repeatedly to select
{ Change pin } and press 2 to confirm.

6 Use the alphanumeric keypad 0-9 to
enter your new four-digit pin code. You
must enter the same pin code a
second
time to confirm it.
➜ To cancel your change, press 4 to
select { Cancel } and press OK to
confirm.
Setting the country of origin
The Parental control levels depend on the
country in which the DVD was
manufactured. Therefore, it is necessary
that you enter the country for which
these filter values apply.
1 Press SYSTEM-MENU on the remote
control.
➜ The system menu appears on the TV.
2 Press 4 to select { Preferences }.
3 Press 2 repeatedly to select { Access }
and press 4 to confirm.
4 Use the alphanumeric keypad 0-9 to
enter your four-digit pin code (see page
58 “Setting and changing the pin code”).
5 Press 4 to select { DVD country } and
press 2 to enter its options.

6 Press 3 4 to select the country for
which the disc is coded and press 1 to
