Hi, just found this site and am hoping you can point me in the right direction. I have an electronics background so I don't think the repair
part will be that difficult, but I don't have a service manual or any means to troubleshoot a TV that won't turn on.
It is a KV-30HS420 and my sister-in-law bought 18 months ago and gave to me free this weekend because it wouldn't turn on.
When turning on I get 11 blinks, pause, 7 blinks, pause, 7 blinks, pause, 7 blinks......
Thank you in advance,
Tom

Excellent site fellas.
I have a KP-43HT20 and it's driving me nuts.
I got the dreaded 6 blinks and read the info above, however I cannot find the caps (515,516) nor the Jungle IC (found the jungle) IC 206.
Is it possible that these are numbered differently on my model?
Maybe Im blind...
They shouldn't be on the lamp boards, or the AV out board.
that leaves 3 (G, D, A, I think)
the PS (G), the one with H CONT on it (D)and another with the Jungle on it (A).
My plan was to extract the board and take the parts and board in to be repaired.
Or even buy a replacement board.
I just can't seem to find those components on any of them. If someone could tell me which board they are definately on and or where to look
for a replacement board I'd appreciate it.
Thanks in advance for your time.

Hi Larry,
I have the 2004 model KDP57WS655 with 9 blinks. I had a service tech come out and while he was here he visited the Sony website to get the
error code and suggested fix from Sony being the D6301 diode on the "G" board. His boss wanted $250 to replace the diode. I coughed up a
hairball. He checked the diode and wasn't sure it was faulty or bad. He also felt bad his boss is so greedy.
As he was not certain that replacing the diode would actually fix the problem, what do you think? I would be willing to replace the whole "G"
board if I have to.
How do I get a part number for this board so I can replace it?
Thank you for any help or guidance you can offer me.

problem? Any idea on where to get parts and repar?
Bstrair, Did you ever get a reply? have the same error code, 8 blinks, but does not seem like an audio problem to me. Jon

Hi Larry,
I have a Sony KP-61V80 projection TV. I have replaced both the A and G board inside with new ones and now I'm getting 5 blinks on the
timer/standby led. There are no video or sound. The remote is able to power on the TV if it's turned off, but non-responsive after that. Any
suggestions on what I should do next? Replace the CR/CB/CG boards? Any help on this is appreciated. Thanks!

Now the service guy says Blue tube shot and red tube going. This set is 5 years old, it's a Sony ! Is this a common problem?

I have a Sony KV-34HS510 and am having trouble with loss of picture at the screen edges. I am interested in getting a service manual, so i can
fix the problem. Larry Dillon mentioned he had one and would be willing to send it via pando. I signed up with pando and my e-mail is
