Wow! Your response time is fantastic! Between my brother and I, we worked on jet, car and motorcycle engines. He's now an IT guy and
rebuilds computers, I used to work in a electric shop for a short time. Do you think we can take it apart without further damage?

Should not have a problem then. Just follow the service manual.

I was going to buy a manual at ServiceManuals.net
Will that be a proper one

Larry,
I have sony-KP53HS30 TV. and i am having problems with it. It shows green flash and then it shuts down, and then stand by LED blinks 8
times. acording to the 8 blink lights, the problem might be D board and i would like to repair it myself. what I need is a service manual and if
you can direct me to site where i can order the D board for my TV.
Thank You.

VP, the D-boards are no longer available, but your TV set sounds like it could have a bad green picture tube. The right way to tell would be to
pull off the front cover, behind the front speaker grill. Take the middle tube socket off the picture tube, that's the green one. And pull it off the
picture tube and leave it hanging so it is not touching anything. Turn on the set and see if it still shuts off. If it does, the problem is most likely
the D-board. If it does not shut off the green picture tube is bad. You can contact ptscorp.com and get their phone number to see how much
they charge to overhaul it. I have a a copy of the service manual, leave an e-mail address and we will see about sharing a copy. Good Luck

Hi.
I have a SONY KDL-32S3010. I have entered some number (37 I think) to the TT codes by mistake and I have a big problem. I turn on the TV
by RC, led goes to green, but screen hase no picture and there is no sound. After about 20 seconds led goes to red. Pluging off and on from the
220 plug doesn't help me.
Can you help me someway? Dou you have any service manual to this or similar types of SONY LCD? Does there exist any way to reset to
factory defaults without the screen on?
Thank you very much for any advice.
Martin

Martin, did you go into the service menu and change a code without knowing what you were doing? Is this what your trying to tell us? Guess
what M, Why did you go into the service mode? Are you a service tech? Did you have a service manual to know what you were changing and
what the change was suppose to do? I'm afraid you will now have to call a trained tech out to change the eeprom IC and reset all of the
alighnments for you. There is no factory reset I'm afraid.

Hello,
I have a kv-32v42 chassis aa-2d. It seems to be having the same problem as with DakotaFox's set. When I power the set on. The red light
blinks about 4 times before you hear the relay click. It shows a picture for about a minute or so. Then the picture becomes blurry for a 1/2
second, rolls up to the top of the screen with a v-shaped trail of scanlines below it, and then there is nothing but sound left. Tapping on the set
seemed to work but, the picture would still go out if you tap on it too slow. So I would like to fix this myself, if I could get the proper manuals
(training, chassis, & service). Any help that anyone could/would send to me would be greatly appreiciated. Thank you.

Larry, thank you for answer. Yes, its definitely my problem, I Know, you don't have say me I'm fool, I know it. I wanted to see the service
menu only, but I typed some by mistake to TT codes instedad of pressing menu key. If you tell me that there is no way to provide factory reset
by RC, I will call service supoort of local Sony. Thanks. Martin

Sorry man, I wish I could help you out, but if you tried to unplug the TV set and this did not reset the TV set to the factory service defaults,
I'm afraid you will need to call in a authorized Sony service person and tell them exactly what you did. Good Luck
