Sony KDL-40V2000 Flat Panel Television User Manual

this helps you out.

Thanks so much. I found those parts on the website you posted. Wait, actually, it says for the second part you listed that that part is no
longer offered and this is now a replacement: 8-719-074-43. Except I didn't see my model as one of the models it's okay to use for. What do
you think?
Is there a manual we can follow since we don't have much experience with this?

Yes it is fine to use with your TV set.. I do not have this service manual. One can be purchased from HERE

Hi Larry, thank you very much for the service manual. I just received and installed the new G1 board for my KDF-42WE655 but it still blinks
6 times. I'm at a loss.

Thanks a lot Larry...I'll let you know how it goes.

Bstrair, Did you ever get a reply? have the same error code, 8 blinks, but does not seem like an audio problem to me. Jon

buzzle said: Hi Larry, I got a KV-32HV600/ chassis DA4 build in Oct 2002 TV set just went off to the standby LED with 7 blinking code
with no video/audio. I was able to reset it by unplugging the power cord for several hours a few time but now it refuses to cooperate. This set
is too heavy to bring to the service shop and they'll charge me $150 to just come out and look at it for an estimate. Repair service/part will
cost separately on top of the estimate fee. If you have the service diagram and part number/module's location that can help me identify the
faulty component; I' really appreciated for the advise Thank you, Dass
Hello Larry, Haven't heard anything back from you yet, thought that i want to update with some finding Standby LED blink 7 times relate to
high voltage shutdown that exceed 33k which feed to the main picture tube. Where exactly are the PSU and the horizontal circuit for this
problem ? Also, there is something about the horizontal deflection stop that need to be check out or reset Can you help to locate and provide
some tip to troubleshoot this issue please ?
Hi Larry,
I bought the service manual from the link that you provided to other reader. I found the main PSU and Horizontal deflection circuit on the
D board. So, can i just replace the failure component (which one/part #) or I need to replace the whole D-board ?
Thank you for any advise.

Dass, the problem might be the transformer as the blink codes only give the tech a clue where the problem is. If you are experienced
troubleshooting the circuits with a schematic and can follow circuit flow, then for sure repair the D board. But if it does not work by replacing
the parts mentioned, you will inevitably need to replace the D board if you can find one. You could also take out the D board and ship it to
ptscorp.com, they overhaul boards for people. Go to the website and get the toll free number and give then a call. Good Luck.

Hi - I actually ordered the service manual yesterday. I tried to look through it myself, but on the diagrams, they don't show a G board. I'm
probably missing something. On the positive side, I did get the TV to turn on, and for now, will just turn the cable box off and leave the TV
on.

Christine 118, send me a copy of the manual, maybe this set has it all incorporated into the main power supply board. Send it to
techman32k@yahoo.com

Hello, I have a Sony KP-57WS500 tv. About 8 months ago the set went down on the last day of the warranty, the service man came out and it
was a bad picture tube and it was replaced. About 2 months later the set went down again, now the set is blinking six times. Is this something
that can be easily fixed? Where can I get a service manual for this unit? Thank you in advance for you help and suggestions.
