wayne, on your set the codes have changed. It says there
is low B+ and most likely the G1 board, but there is no guaranty
on that. It could be a couple of different things. Yes that is a bit steep for a repair. I happen to have the manual, if you want it. I just got it for
another repair I had. So maybe we can split the cost of it? LOL Where would you like me to send it to?
Send it to waynethomas007@comcast.net thanks a million Larry

I sent you the manual, wayne. Just be careful when probing around measuring the voltages. Like I said before, The manual says there is a
problem with the G1 board. These boards are repaired sometimes, but I have seen a lot of repair peeps replace them. Good luck

Larry Dillon said: mk2000, I do not have your model, but I do have the KV32S45, and that is the same chassis number, AA2D that they
use in yours. I do not know where to send it though. No e-mail address. Sorry, my crystal ball is in the shop right now.
Larry , If you could please send it to mk2007@earthlink.net that would be great
Thank you

I have a Sony Trinitron KV-34HS510 which has the DA4 Chassis in which the Standby/Timer Light Blinks either six or seven times when I
attempt to power up the tv set. I've read and am aware of what the six or seven blinks may reperesent. I was wondering if anyone else might
have experienced this problem and what they did to fix the problem. I have no previous solid state tv repair experience but do have an
Asociates in electronics and would like to attempt the repairs myself if not to complicated. I was also wondering if someone might be able to
recomend some decent and repatable websites that might provide a detailed and helpful service/repair manual and schematic diagram for
this particular model and the DA4 Chassis that I could download for free or pay for. Any useful or helpful information would be greatly
appericated. Thankyou.

Hi Larry,
I got a KV-32HV600/ chassis DA4 build in Oct 2002 TV set just went off to the standby LED with 7 blinking code with no video/audio.
I was able to reset it by unplugging the power cord for several hours a few time but now it refuses to cooperate.
This set is too heavy to bring to the service shop and they'll charge me $150 to just come out and look at it for an estimate. Repair
service/part will cost separately on top of the estimate fee.
If you have the service diagram and part number/module's location that can help me identify the faulty component; I' really appreciated for
the advise
I have an electronic degree background and have experience with soldering/meter/scope/circuit diagram but i am not in the
television/electronic field.
My email address is dass_ba@yahoo.com
Thank you,

Hi Larry,
Please help...I just paid a repair service $169 just for them to pick up my tv and diagnosis...it's a Sony KP-51WS510 with 8 blinking
lights...they wanted $525 for repairs after they gave me a under $300 initial estimate at my home...they said it was a power supply
problem...your 8blinks says it's a audio.
I had them return the TV cause I felt being ripped off...I opened the back as soon as it arrived...there was still cobwebs and dust everywhere
even around the power cord...did they really diagnos it? It took me 5 phone calls and a week and a half for them to return the TV to me.
Excuse my boohooing, so mad at repair service peeps.
So when power button is pressed, I hear the initial start up, couple of seconds of sound, no picture, cuts off and the standby light blinks 8
times.
Whadaya think?
thanks

Hi Larry, could you send me the service manual that you have for the KDF-55WF655? Its the one you recently sent to wayne007. I'm
assuming its the same as the one for the KDF-42WE655. Much appreciated. homeslice@comcast.net

G-star, It also says in the codes that an 8 blink could be a problem in the high voltage or flyback circuit. If they cannot honor the estimate
they told you, you should not have to pay the service fee to them. Unfortunately, the D board in this set is where you have the problem and is
no longer available. But there is a company called pts that can rebuild your D board for you. This will take a little to get apart though. Not
really a job for the novice. Go to ptscorp.com, get the telephone number and call them and see how much it is to rebuild your D board for this
model number TV set. Good Luck
