Sony KDL-40V2000 Flat Panel Television User Manual

Nope, the picture tubes are going bad my friend. When you disconnect the leads off the distribution block, you are only lightening up the CRT
drive load. One or more of your picture tubes are bad most likely.

I didn't disconnect the high voltage leads off of the high voltage block. I disconnected a two conductor cable from the D board. What does
this two conductor cable control. Is there a relay in the high voltage block? Does this cable turn on the hv block? If the block was internally
shorted, would that give me the same results as the CRT being bad? All CRT's light up and appear to be ok. Can I disconnect the hv cables
from the block individually to determine which CRT is bad? If not, how do I determine which CRT is bad? Can I unplug the boards off the
CRT individually and try it? I am also trying to get a service manual any recommendations on a website? Thank you for any suggestions.

No, do not disconnect the high voltage cable off the block. Disconnect each picture tube socket to see if there is one that makes the set shut
down, If not, then the high voltage block could be bad.

Do you think 5 blinks being a video problem is worth the repair on a tv that is 6 years old?

Hey everyone I have a sony kp-57ws500 and when i turn on the tv the tv gives me 11 blinks then shuts off. What does that mean? I would
really like to get this fixed asap. Also I just replaced the D board if that helps. so anyone??
Asa Gage on November 2, 2007 9:46 AM
Could someone please send me a service manual for a kp-46wt500? asagage@gmail.com I have asked several times and I guess I didn't
get anyone's attention. I finally got my TV back and the picture is off a little. The service tech is coming tuesday morning 11/06/07. I want
to make sure he has this available to him if he needs it. The convergence seems off a little(blue seems to be larger and fuzzier than other
colors and the screen looks red when it should be black, there are also faint diagonal red lines that show up when the screen should be black.
Any advise? I just paid $390 for the repair including a new flyback, horizontal output and a logic IC. The parts are warrantied for 90 days
and the labor for 30. New sony authorized techs in my area so I had to use the most respected local tv repair shop. I originally had 6 blinking
lights and flash focus does not help.

I have a Sony KDL-40W2000 tv, it has got 8 blinking lights every 2/3 seconds, Is it a major problem? What can be done to be fix it? It is under warranty
only 8 months old. I am not sure if I want it to be fixed because it might happen again, I would prefer a new one, will they give me a new one?
Larry Dillon on November 5, 2007 9:13 AM
No they will not give you a new set after 8 months unless the set cannot be repaired. You had better call for service ASAP so you do not have
to pay for this repair. Good Luck

John, sorry but you will need to get a remote from a freind or borrow one from someone.
Johnnybgood2007 on November 5, 2007 11:41 AM
Thank you Larry, I will try my best to find one

Hi Larry I have a Sony KV-32HV600 that is 5 years old and is not powering up and is giving a standby flashing code of 6 blinks. Do you have
the shop manual for this model and if so can you send me a copy. Thanks for your awsome thread!

Good day Larry:
Sony KV36FS320 flashing light do you have the service manual available for this unit? Excellent site!
Larry Dillon on November 10, 2007 8:39 AM
350home and kilowatt I am sorry I do not have this manual.
Kilowatt on November 10, 2007 1:05 PM
Larry the code for this unit was 5 flashes which means:
IK (AKB)
5 times
5:0 or 5:1
IC001 is faulty. (M Board)
Screen (G2) is improperly adjusted.**
No raster is generated.
CRT Cathode current detection reference pulse
output is small.
What should this mean to me?
