Sony KDL-40V2000 Flat Panel Television User Manual

I can not find my lit on the TV. Were is the "G" board located?
assuming d6116 & d6301 are diodes could they be replaced without replacing the board.

Paul, I will send you the service manual so you can see where everything is inside the TV set. Just leave a e-mail address and It will be on its
way as soon as I am able to get it out to you. Good luck

Ralphieboy, the grease your referring to is normal thing to have around that suction cup. It is a high voltage grease to keep moisture out of
the cup and to stop the cup from arching when it is humid. The flyback is probably bad, but there really is no way to test it without a coil
ringer. It is a type of test equipment and that does not always test it 100% as well. The best way to see if that is the problem is to replace it. I
do not have that service manual. Good Luck

Shea, I do not have that manual.

Thanks for responding, Larry. If you saw the flyback after I cleaned off the dust you would probably say its bad/going bad. On one side the
outer shell is a really bright silvery color with circular concentric rings darkening around it. I would guess it is the crackling and whine I
keep hearing. If you or anyone else has any other advice I would appreciate it. Thanks!

I located a service manual for my kv-32fs120 but the manual is not showing a "G" board. I'm getting a nine blink diag. code and the on screen
diagnostics is showing "ZCD" as my only problem. It happened 255 times which I think is the limit. I cleared the codes and repowered the
set and the same code came up 3 more times. Now with no "G" board I dont know where to go. Sears sells the boards but I'm not sure which
one it needs. Any help would be great.

i do not have a clue what that means on your set. It does not even have a 9 blink fault code built into the TV set.

What is ZCD? I've read that it is zero crossover detection or something like that, but wouldnt that be a power supply problem. The main
board, or "A" board is the one I am thinking of replacing as it seems to be the one supplying power. Thanks again.
Larry Dillon on October 9, 2007 12:53 PM
I know what that mean. But this is not for your set. It does not have the same power supply as the zero crossocer circuit.

The on screen diagnostics is where I got this code. All other codes are clear or "N/A". I am thinking of just replacing the main board or "A"
board, but what is the board that is mounted vertically on the "A" board that plugs in like a video card on a computer and recieves the signal
from the front interface board? Sears lists each board for about $100, I am kind of guessing here. Even if I replace them both, its still
cheaper than what the repair company quoted me for 1 board! Go figure.

Hi,
I have a Sony KV-40XBR80 that the stand by light has started to blink on..... so far it has blinked 7 times, 10 times, 4 times, and now 9 times.
I have tried resetting the unit and still the light keeps changing the number of times it blinks..... there is no Sony service where I live and I
really don't want to move the unit unless I really have too (it weights like close to 375lbs) any thoughts would be great!!!!!!!!
Thanks
Tim
