Hi,
Just wanted to let you know I repaired my wega tv by resoldering a group of components on the "A" board. Apparently the problem stems
from a poor wave soldering process in the factory and now its working like a charm. In case anyone needs to know, the parts resoldered
were: Q605, D647, C690, D645, D620, R691, Q691, on the main circuit board at the bottom of the tv. No more on screen fault codes and it
didn't cost me a dime. Some say its a temp fix, but hey, it was free! Thanks for your help Larry Dillon. Oh, and by the way, these parts ARE
part of a "ZCD" or zero crossing circuit. Have a nice day.

One of the diodes are bad and this will break down again. When it does, you will need to find the diodes in the zero crossing circuit and
replace it. Good Luck

I am not extremely familiar with the "ins and out" of each electrical components. I have a vague knowledge of what resistors, capacitor,
transistor, diodes, ect. do, but why, other than a bad contact, would resoldering repair a bad diode? If it is a small leak, I dont understand
why soldering "fixed" the problem. Crazy electronics!

Sony Training Manual for AA-2, but no parts list, or full schematic, any help would be appricated Thank you mk
You can tell the values of a resistor by looking at the color bands on it. Get a chart, count the bands and colors, and there you have it! If you
go to Radio Shack and look at the resistors there in the parts bin, most have the chart on the back, or do a search. If it is a surface mount res.,
the ohms are printed on it. Sorry to answer someone elses question.

times, and now 9 times. I have tried resetting the unit and still the light keeps changing the number of times it blinks..... there is no Sony
service where I live and I really don't want to move the unit unless I really have too (it weights like close to 375lbs) any thoughts would be
great!!!!!!!! Thanks Tim
Make sure the tv is off and push; DISPLAY, CHANNEL 5, VOLUME DOWN, then POWER on the remote. This is the on screen diag. for most
Sony tvs. Post what it says. Some of the blinking could be irrelevent.

I have a projection T.V. KP57WS500 and when i turn it on the standby timer light goes on no blinks and the tv has no sound and no visual. I
read a comment that it may need fuses R607,Q601,IC601, R612 And VDR601( Should show Open) Okay where's the manual (T.V. repair for
dummies. are there extra fuses in the t.v ? do i need to locate them ,and where?and what does it mean(should show open?and where's the
fuse panel?Remember i said the manual for Dummies....

Hey Larry,
Great website, wish I would have done more research before purchasing my Sony KDF-55WF655. I'm having the 6 blink problem that I have
seen referenced in this forum many times. Upon the advice of my local service center, I replaced the lamp for $200, which did not fix the
problem. I was not very surprised, or happy! I was hoping you would send the copy of the service manual and / or SB E29102171 that you
have so kindly sent to others in this forum. Your generosity is much appreciated.
