Rear View
a USB Connector (Type B)
Connect the supplied USB cable here. (See p. 2-6.)
b SCSI Connector (50-pin half-pitch D-sub receptacle)
Connect the SCSI cable here. (See p. 2-7.)
c DIP Switch (SCSI ID)
Selects the scanner’s SCSI ID. (See p. 2-8.)
d Power Connector
Connect the supplied power cord here. (See p. 2-7.)
e Ventilation Holes (Exhaust Fan)
Exhausts heat from inside the scanner.
CAUTION
Do not block the ventilation holes. Doing so could cause the
scanner to overheat, creating a fire hazard.
Control Panel
a Display Panel
Displays the user mode, job info, and messages.
b Enter Key
Selects the user mode, and accepts settings.
c Keys
Selects the user mode and job.
d Menu Key
Displays the user mode.
e Job Key
Displays jobs.
f Count Only Key
Feeds and counts the number of document pages.
g Bypass Mode Key
Raises the document holder for the non-separating
(manual) mode.
h New File Key
When Batch Separation by Key is enabled, separates
batches.
i Start Key
Starts scanning.
j Stop Key
Stops the scanning process.
