Answer Possible Reasons Possible Solutions
No, it is red

Two or three of the SCSI
backplane fans are not installed
or have failed, or the fan cable is
not properly connected to the
PCI-X mezzanine board.
One or both of the system board
power modules have failed.
The PCI-X mezzanine power
module is not functioning.
An interlock error has occurred
on the PCI-X mezzanine board,
at least one system board power
module, the PCI-X mezzanine
power module, or the NIC I/O
board.
Power is not available to the
enclosure.
LEDs on the internal components
may determine the cause of the problem.
Use the optional diagnostic station to
power up the server blade with the access
panel removed.
Internal components should be checked
for damage or replaced if the
corresponding LED is on. Check that the
following LEDs are off:
System board power modules
PCI-X mezzanine board power
module
PCI-X mezzanine board interlock
NIC I/O board interlock
If the internal health LED is still not solid
green, perform one of the following
actions:
Use the iLO remote console to
continue the diagnosis.
Use the I/O cable connectors,
depending on the server blade
model, to continue diagnosis.
Use the iLO system status page to
help determine the problem.
Contact an authorized service provider for
replacement parts and service.
Yes If the internal health LED is green, refer to
Table D-5.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury from electric shock hazards, only
qualified service personnel should power up the server blade with the
access panel removed.
Note: For LED locations and functions, refer to Appendix E, “LEDs and Switches.”
Note: The internal health LED should be off when the server blade is not powered on.
