Connecting USB
storage devices
Caution
• Be sure to turn this unit’s power off (to the standby
mode) before connecting or disconnecting USB
storage devices.
• When using an external HDD (hard disk drive) as the
external storage device, be sure to turn on the HDD’s
power before turning on this unit’s power.
• If the USB storage device is write-protected, be sure
to disable the write-protection.
• When connecting the USB cable, hold onto the plug,
set the plug in the proper direction for the port, then
insert it horizontally.
• Placing excessive loads on the plug may result in
faulty contact, making it impossible to read the data
on the USB storage device.
• Do not unplug the power cord when a USB storage
device is connected and this unit’s power is turned
on.
Note
• It is not possible to use the two USB ports
simultaneously.
• Devices may not work if connected to the USB port via
a memory card reader or USB hub.
• Use a USB cable with a length of two meters or less.
