32. RECORDING TIME TABLE
32.1. About Picture Quality Settings During Recording
The Digital Video Recorder offers five levels of picture quality, allowing desired picture quality to be balanced
with desired recording time. To set the appropriate picture quality, first determine parameters for desired
recording times, recording intervals, and recording types based on monitoring conditions. It is advisable to
conduct test recordings to ensure that the resulting recordings balance picture quality against needed
recording time correctly as desired. (Note: The recording times specified in the accompanying tables are
guidelines only, and actual values may vary.) (Refer to p. 44; Recording Rate.)
Notes
• The following tables show estimated recording times based on identical recording rates for all cameras.
• The maximum total recording rate is 120 IPS for the normal mode and 60 IPS for the Mirror mode.
• The following table shows the recording time of the normal mode. The recording time of mirror recording
mode is half that of normal mode.
• Mirror recording mode cannot be used with models having hard disk drive capacities of 80 GB or 160 GB
alone.
• The numbers shown in the tables indicate hours of recording time.
