3. Type arp -d 192.11.13.6 and press Enter to clear the Address Resolution Protocol
(ARP) cache in the laptop.
● The command line prompt appears when the cache is cleared.
● The phrase The specified entry was not found appears when the ARP cache does
not contain the specified IP address.
4. To log into the SIPI, type telnet 192.11.13.6 and press Enter.

5. Type ipsilogin and press Enter. The abbreviated command is il.

Note: The craft login used on the SIPI has a different password than the craft login used
on the media servers.
6. Log in as craft.

7. Enter show control interface and then enter show port 1 to see the current
control interface settings.
8. To set the control interface, type set control interface ipaddr netmask and
press Enter, where ipaddr is the customer-provided IP address and netmask is the
customer provided subnet mask.
9. Enter quit to save the changes and exit the IPSI session.
