• Connecting an amplifier with a Dolby Digital/DTS digital
surround processor or a Dolby Digital/DTS digital
surround decoder to the recorder’s optical digital jack
provides richer, more powerful audio play.
• To use DTS digital surround, press AUDIO to select DTS
audio.

•
When connecting the audio equipment to the analog
connection, we recommend that you set the
“DD LEVEL” in “PLAYBACK SETUP” to “OFF” (See page 81).
Important!
• When using this connection, set the “ Digital OUT” in
“PLAYBACK SETUP” to “ DIGITAL” (See page 81).
NOTE
• To play a disc recorded with DTS, you need to use DTS
processor or amplifier.
• This connection is not possible if the processor or
amplifier to which you want to connect does not have a
optical digital input jack.
• Refer to the operation manual for the processor or
amplifier for information about connecting to it.
