5.5 Controlling the iris
(master value: Iris)
If the aperture of the lens (iris) is to be controlled by the
WRC-1, a lens motor CLM-2 must be mounted on the
camera and connected to the UMC-1/URM-1.
Note: The iris can only be adjusted using CLM-2 motors.
If a CLM-1 motor is used the warning ‘NO IRIS’
is displayed.
When switching on the WRC-1, the IRIS sliding switch ➪
photo is used to determine whether the WRC-1 (‘IRIS ON’)
or another unit (e.g. a WFU-1) (‘IRIS OFF’) controls the
connected iris motor.
• The IRIS sliding switch must be set to ‘ON’ before
turning on the WRC-1.
If the IRIS sliding switch is not set to ‘ON’ and an operating
mode is selected, which requires an iris motor, the warning
‘NO IRIS’ is displayed. This warning is also displayed if the
IRIS sliding switch is set to ‘ON’ although a CLM-2 motor
has not yet been connected. In this case the CLM-2 motor
must be connected to the IRIS socket on the UMC-1.
